Dianova USA Inc.

Founded in 1997, Dianova USA works with Dianova International to implement advocacy initiatives in the fields of women’s rights, assistance to migrants and refugees, mental health and for reinforcing the role of civil society in international organizations. Dianova USA is also dedicated to raising funds to help develop some of the Dianova Network’s social projects.

Delegation of Dianova International in New York

Dianova USA’s office is located in New York, close to the United Nations headquarters. Its opening was made possible through a collaboration agreement between Dianova International and The United Methodist Church. Dianova’s delegation in New York maintains an active presence at meetings organized by the United Nations, the Organization of American States (OAS) or other institutions and is dedicated to strengthening Dianova’s advocacy capacity in international organizations, in partnership with the various NGO committees of which Dianova is a member.

Related Activities

A significant number of Dianova International’s international relations and advocacy activities in 2018 have been carried out through its New York delegation. For example, our representative participated in five side events at the 62nd session of the Commission on the Status of Women, contributing to SDG 5 (Gender equality) target 1 and 5, and SDG 10 (Reduced inequalities) target 3.

3.4 By 2030, reduce by one third premature mortality from non-communicable diseases through prevention and treatment and promote mental health and well-being.

3.5 Strengthen the prevention and treatment of substance abuse, including narcotic drug abuse and harmful use of alcohol.

Related Activities

In addition, Dianova co-sponsored an event dedicated to defending human rights in the face of the war on drugs in some countries, and our representative has been active in promoting mental health through Dianova’s commitment in the NGO Committee on Mental Health, contributing to SDG 3 (Good health and well-being) targets 4 and 5.
