On the occasion of the 57th session of the UN Commission on the Status of Women (CSW57), held from 6 to 15 March at New York City’s UN headquarters under the theme « Elimination and prevention of all forms of violence against women and girls », Dianova organized and sponsored in collaboration with the Methodist Church a side-event for the purpose of sharing their experiences on the theme: Overcoming the pain of violence and abuse. This side event was held on Friday, March 8, during International Women’s Day.

On march 8, the International Women’s Day, Dianova is organizing a side event to the 57th UN session on the status of women which is being held in New York. This event will focus on Dianova’s experience in this field and the means needed to combat violence against women and girls, including education. On the occasion of the International Women’s Day, all Dianova employees wish to join UN efforts to demand rapid measures to bring these violences to an end
Social Economy Forum in Portugal

On February 8, Dianova in Portugal participated in the third edition of aSocial Economy Forum, as a partner and ambassador of the “Opportunity 2020 Yes or No” National initiative. The forum was held in Leca de Palmeira, in the auditorium of the portuguese business association. The forum’s main topic was dedicated to social and reintegration enterprises.

In Portugal, Dianova has been officially appointed to coordinate the 2013 « Migrants in Europe » multimedia competition, jointly with the European Commission – Directorate of Home Affairs ( Commissioner: Ms. Cecila Malmström). The competition is to be lauched on Friday, February 1st in all EU member states.

Sharing your Dreams with the Social Lottery

As in previous years, Dianova in Spain presents Christmas’ Social Lottery, an initiative which enables the organization to raise funds through the sale of lottery tickets in spain. If you choose to participate to the Christmas draw on December 22, you may also share a little bit of your luck while helping out Dianova projects. Sodalitas Social Innovation Prize Awarded to Dianova in Italy

For the second year in a row, Dianova in Italy was awarded a prize by the “Sodalitas Social Innovation” program. The second edition of the Sodalitas Social Innovation program was held in Milan (Italy), the latter initiative being dedicated to help community-based and nonprofit organizations develop the skills and tools necessary to prepare stronger and innovative social business plans.
