Women’s Empowerment & Gender Equality

Gender equality is not only an ethical goal, it is an essential condition for development

All human beings are born free and equal; they must have fair access to opportunities and rights, irrespective of their gender of birth or the way in which they express their identity.

The empowerment of women is a prerequisite for the full and sustainable development of nations. Women and girls make up half the world’s population, and their access to quality education and participation in the professional world are closely linked to economic, social and cultural development.
