In Canada Dianova opens a specialized unit for young adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder

Specialized residential services: Dianova-TSA Unit
Dianova in Canada manages residential resources for vulnerable people dealing with specific issues. This expertise, coupled with its reputation for service quality and partnerships, led to the establishment of a residential unit for six adolescents and young adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder (TSA) or having intellectual impairment with serious behavioral problems. Since 1 February 2016, the young beneficiaries of the project can thus benefit from this project and thrive in a safe and rewarding environment. The project is carried out as part of an agreement between Dianova and the Lanaudière Integrated Health and Social Services Center (CISSSL) throughout an innovative model of collaboration between the public network and a non-profit social enterprise.
On 15 November 2016, the official inauguration of the unit took place in the presence of many guests, including Mrs Lucie Charlebois, Minister for Rehabilitation, Youth Protection, Public Health and Healthy Habits. Life of Quebec, who said: “Our government is committed to meeting the needs of people with intellectual disabilities or autism spectrum disorders. I would like to highlight the work of the Dianova team that looks after the well-being of residents. “
A living environment adapted to the needs of users

With this project, Dianova brings added value to the model of work developed by experts in the context of social and community development. In support of the specialized adaptation and rehabilitation services provided by the CISSSL, the Dianova-TSA unit offers an environment which provides, accommodation, general and special services and the observation and application of specialized programming. Dianova has a team of about twenty people responsible for guaranteeing, 24 hours a day and every day of the year, a living environment adapted to the needs and lifestyle of the users, and to ensure their physical and social well-being in a brand new building with an area of 650 m2, built to measure.
