La Villa

La VillaOpened in September 2013 in Palombara Sabina, near Rome, 'La Villa' is a facility dedicated specifically to adolescents and young adults. La villa accommodates up to eight boys and girls from 14 to 21 years of age, in a residential community structure which promotes the development of an educational and experiential process while in a protected environment. The objective of the project is to help residents gain in accountability and to empower them towards their social and family reintegration.

One of the characteristics of the project is to attend male and female adolescents, Italians and foreigners, referred by juvenile courts or at the request of social services. In addition, the facility is partially operated by the residents themselves, in order to establish a relational climate likely to promote self-reliance and trust.
