Running for a good cause, it still is the slogan of the Milano City Marathon’s Charity Program, an initiative designed to allow any participant to the race to run for a charitable organization and help raise funds for their social causes. This year, the runners from Dianova Italy gave support to a vocational training project entitled “We give training to bread.” The project’s goal: buy and renovate bakery equipment and provide vocational training and on-the-job experience to those among our residents who are interested in such activity. The ultimate objective of this initiative is to provide these residents with the tools and experience necessary for a successful social and vocational reintegration.

26 different teams participated in this charity race for the benefit of this project, 7 of which being composed of users of our services. 2 are from the Montefiore dell’Aso therapeutic community, 2 from of Garbagnate Milanese, 1 from the Palombara Sabina community, 1 from the ‘La Villa’ educational centre for minors, and 1 from our administrative and communication office, in the Garbagnate Milanese therapeutic community.

On 22 March, Dianova was the unique representative of nonprofit organizations present at the press conference organized for the launch of the event by the Municipality of Milan. During the latter event, two Olympic champions, Antonio Rossi and Jury Chechi, delivered a speech to endorse and support Dianova’s vocational project and activities.
