Dianova Italy Participates in Milano City Marathon

 

The 2015 edition of the event has broken all records!

On April 12th, the 2015 edition of the Milano City Marathon-SuisseGas has broken all records in terms of spectators, excitement and enthusiasm – more than 15,000 persons registered –  but also in terms of sport performance, with the victory of Kenyan Kenneth Mungara who established a new world record within the M40 Master class in 2 hours and 8 seconds, 2 seconds ahead of Mexican Andres Espinosa Pérez, holder of the last world record in 2003 (Berlin).

The race gathered enthusiastic crowds, cheering the 4176 marathonian salong the route. Executive Director of Milano Marathon SuisseGas stressed : « We are very proud of the outcomes of the 2015 edition. It’s been a huge success, not only in terms of participants, but also through the participation of the entire milanese population. The new marathon course has fulfilled the expectations of all!”

In women, first place was won by Kenyan Lucy Karimi (2h 27 min 35s), who conquered the top of the podium; in addition, Italian female athletes won the bronze medal and fifth place and in general their excellent performance should be noted.

The Milano City Marathon was a big success for all running aficionados through the special “Europ Assistance Relay Marathon” and the attendance of various high-level participants in support of nonprofit organizations.

The Marathon Relay was attended by more than 10,000 additional runners, including Dianova’s. Dianova Italy representatives performed well in the 8 relays they participated in. And once the Marathon was over, they were not the last to join the festive and colorful invasion of Milano’s city streets
