On November 11th, an official ceremony was held in Madrid (Spain) to award the auspicious, 2013 EFR Social Economy certification in the presence of the Spanish Minister of Health, social Services & Equality, Mrs. Ana Mato and of the President of the Másfamilia Foundation, Mr. Antonio Trueba. Ms. Montse Rafel, member of the board of directors of Dianova in Portugal accepted the certification on behalf of Dianova in Portugal, one of the 66 newly certified organizations.
More than 370 organizations have already become “family-responsible” entities after being subjected to a comprehensive, in-depth external audi to assess their commitment and practices in terms of equal opportunities and work-life balance issues. The EFR is in addition an important asset for the organizations’ brand image and reputation. Based on their strong commitment to employees and reputation for operational excellence, EFR-certified organizations are now on the road to a better work environment which should contribute to a higher level of motivation and productivity among their staff.
