The most important United Nations meetings on drugs is now being held from 9 to 17 March in Vienna, Austria

On March 9, 2015 the 58th session of the United Nations Commission on Narcotic Drugs (CND) commenced in Vienna. This annual meeting brings together about 1000 delegates from member states, inter-governmental organizations as well as civil society and media representatives to discuss the drug problem from a global perspective.

Until March 17, the international community will analyze the current drug trends and the situation of drug trafficking.

This year’s session is especially relevant, as it will include a high-level session dedicated to the preparations of the highest level meeting in years, i.e. the UN General Assembly Special Session on the world drug problem (UNGASS) to be held in 2016. During this year's session 12 draft resolutions will be discussed and 65 side events and exhibits will take place.

Side event Dianova

Dianova has joined the event as a member of civil society and member of the board of the NGO Committee (VNGOC). Besides, Dianova will organize a side event with partners Proyecto Hombre Association and Greek NGO Kethea on March 16, 2015, entitled: “Adjusting Treatment Modalities for Better Treatment Efficiency”.
