The fifth annual edition of the « Mocktail » initiative will host renowned Portuguese singer
Pedro Abrunhosa & Comité Caviar for a solidarity concert dedicated to prevention and health education. A weekend which will remain in our memories.

On May 3 and 4, Dianova in Portugal is to present the fifth edition of its “Mocktail” initiative dedicated to addiction prevention and health promotion, in partnership with about 35 regional and national agencies. The 2013 edition  will culminate in the city of Torres Vedras with a solidarity concert by one of the most famous Portuguese musicians, Pedro Abrunhosa & Comité Caviar.

The Mocktail initiative aims to raise awareness of the consequences of drug and alcohol abuse among youth and young adults, including drunk driving; in previous editions, the initiative allowed Dianova counselors and volunteers to reach out to more than 13,000 people and was the subject of a side-event to the 55th Session of the United Nations’ Commission on Narcotic Drugs in Vienna (Austria).

The fifth edition of the Mocktail initiative will begin at the end of April with school-based drug awareness events conducted by Dianova’s prevention professionals. Then, on Friday, May 3rd, a community outreach health promotion initiative will take place in the city of Torres Vedras’ nightlife scenes, conducted with dozens of volunteering “health ambassadors”. In conclusion, Saturday, May 4, the famous Portuguese artist Pedro Abrunhosa & Comité Caviar will perform a solidarity concert with Dianova’s health promotion and educational community projects.
