24th session of the Commission on Science and Technology for Development (CSTD)- Geneva, 17 to 21 May (in-person and virtual meetings, depending on conditions)
As a subsidiary body of the ECOSOC, the CSTD acts as a forum for strategic planning and provides foresight about critical trends in STI in key sectors of the economy, the environment and society. This session will will address two priority themes: a) Using science, technology and innovation to close the gap on Sustainable Development Goal 3 on good health and well-being; and b) Harnessing blockchain for sustainable development: prospects and challenges.
