The World Federation of Therapeutic Communities (WFTC) will held its yearly conference in Brazil, with support from the Latin American Federation of TCs, (FLACT) the Organization of American States (OAS) and the Brazilian Federation of TCs. To make an oral or poster presentation, please send in your abstract by 31 July, on the following themes: ethics and human rights in TCs, good practice, public policy and funding of TCs, and prevention programmes.

There have been significant shifts in drug policy in recent years. Much of this has been catalysed by the North American drug overdose crisis, which has seen the rise of a multitude of harm reduction responses and programmes. However, the crisis has also seen the application of drug-induced homicide laws and harsher sentencing for those supplying drugs to people having fatally overdosed. ISSDP calls for abstracts of studies seeking to understand how drug markets are currently working.
