1970's
Heroin and cocaine abuse become a social problem in Europe.

Creation of the Organization in France under the, then innovative concept of a Therapeutic Community.

1980's
Heroin epidemic in Europe. Expansion of the Organization to the other European countries and to America.

1990's
Stabilization in the increase of classic consumption patterns and introduction of recreational drugs, together with the extension of consumption to all social classes. Consolidation of Dianova in Europe and expansion in America.

end of the 1990's
Appearance of substitution treatments. Dianova streamlines its infrastructure as the result of changes in the treatments offered and the profiles of substance abusers.

2000
Cases of multiple addictions, concurrent mental health and addiction disorders and cocaine abuse increase dramatically. Dianova adjusts its treatment programs to these new consumption patterns.

today
The organization is committed to extending its various activities to related areas of human development, continuing to emphasize drug addiction treatment and prevention, but also increasing its commitment to education, youth development and prevention of at-risk behaviors, the latter including walk-in services for especially vulnerable people.
