"establishing genuine participation processes in the organizations"
Eugenio Moliní –Mr. Moliní spent thirty years in Sweden during which time he established a psychotherapy practice focusing on the backgrounds of people's lives: their work, their cultures, the societies in which they live in, etc., rather than on their pasts or inner lives. His interest in such systems led him to specialize in several, interconnected fields: systemic therapy, international systems and the study of participative processes in organizational development. After returning to his native Spain, he turned towards teaching and founded the institute, Gestalt DOS, which is dedicated to systemic and organizational development. He now heads the institute's educational directorship.

What makes us part of mankind is the search for happiness, the capacity to make our own decisions and be self-reliant. Mr. Molini’s work consists of producing participation processes in which people are enabled to meet their aspirations. What is a participation process actually? Contrary to a multipartner process, it represents a process in which one person or one entity, at least, is acknowledged as having the power to define the framework in which this process will unfold. One of the most innovative techniques of the participation processes is that of the “Open Space” methodology, which is a method which enables groups of any size to address complex, important issues and to achieve meaningful results quickly.
The Open Space methodology was originally created by Harrison Owen, who had been told by a friend of his at the end of a congress:
"This congress was terrific, but the best part of it occurred during coffee breaks". At that point, Owen wondered how he could organize a meeting that would be made of coffee breaks only. The Open Space technology was born.
The Open Space methodology designates a participation process in which participants (from a few people to two thousand and more) can organize and take the responsibility for solving their own problems. The Open Space methodology operates in a very simple fashion, meetings require very little planning up-front and the organizers set no agenda or imposed topic. It is an open think tank where people may freely participate where and how they wish, while the collective intelligence nurtures productive decision-making.
