editorial- Consolidation of the Dianova Network

The signing of an international agreement by the Dianova Network that will be carried out on June 21st in Lisbon , will consolidate collaboration between member countries, facilitating cooperation on new projects in the 13 countries in Europe , North and South America .

Dianova International has encouraged the improvement of the information management capabilities among its members in order to strengthen work as a network that will allow for interchanges of both technical information and successful intervention experiences.

Network initiatives have always been the key to the organisation’s efficiency, as shown by the fact that, in addition to Dianova countries having their own individual working structures, they have also been quite effective in mastering the management of inter-country cooperation.

The need to formalise relationships as regards cooperation and strategic support that are already taking place in practice between Dianova International and all the members of the Dianova Network, was agreed upon at the General Meeting held in Palma de Majorca on 5 June 2006. As a result, the decision was made to draw up an International Agreement which would unify networking procedures and coordinate lines of communication.

During 2006, the philosophical framework for the agreement was worked on, as well as the various statutory accords that will be reflected in this document.

This international agreement between members of the Dianova Network will be adopted by all ordinary members, after being signed by the presidents of all Dianova national organizations at the event, “Networking, Cooperation & Innovation in the Non-Profit Sector”.
