Dianova Briefs Dianova Sweden national conference On 22 May in the city of Stockholm , the Dianova Ideell Förening Association held its first national conference discussing Dianova programs and the results of networking in addressing the desired scope of social action. Consistent with the 2007 action plan of the Dianova Ideell Förening Association, this conference was presented with the objective of providing an abundant exchange of experiences regarding the difficulties in obtaining quality results in the creation of a diversified health care network. The opening session of the Dianova Ideell Förening Conference was led by Mr Björn Fries, a government expert on drug dependency issues. The results of a follow-up study of users treated by the Dianova Association were presented by Doctor Mats Fridell, a psychologist and researcher at Lund University . This research, which Doctor Fridell and his students have been working on this research since 2005, has provided some interesting directions for further study. Doctor Arne Kristiansen, lecturer and professor at Lund University , presented the quality system, RQS, which has been created in collaboration with Rainbow. Doctor Liria Ortiz, psychologist, spoke about preventing relapses and individual psychological therapy as a motivational tool. The results of cooperation between the Dianova centers in Malmo and Stockholm were presented by Mr Björn Fältman from Dianova Sweden . Mr Bruno Ferrari , Executive Director of Dianova Canada and a member of the Executive Council of Dianova International, delivered an address titled, “How We Can Improve Organizations and Individuals through the Sharing of Experiences”. Doctors Maja Gradowska and Johanna Crabo, psychologists, presented an extensive study monitoring (the progress) of Dianova clients after treatment. The conference closed with a presentation titled, “Life Stories”, in which Dianova clients who had completed their therapy talked about their experiences.
